Alright, I made it in time. Re:Zero episode 13 is about to start. The anime's already halfway done! So fast!

Alright then, it's starting again this week. Please enjoy! It's the infamous episode 13!
Felt-chan in a dress has her hair properly cleaned up now, unlike back in Arc 1.
Reinhard-san is the one who chose this dress. With the "Blessing of Clothing."
Courtesy of the confirmation kick.
Roz-chi's program promo...!
Marcos-san is a knight called "The Rock," but it's not just because he never gets rattled... okay?
A-part start!
For the record, only Royal Guard knights are attending here, but knights from orders other than the Royal Guard were also mobilized to search for the priestess candidates.
Anastasia-san and Felt are pretty evenly matched in height.
In the world of Re:Zero, removing your sword and placing it on the floor is considered the highest form of bow.
The man on the civil officials' side with the villainous-looking face is someone named Rickert-san.
At Al-san's level, he'd lose to Reinhard in two seconds. Subaru would lose in one.
This statement-of-intent section caused a huge debate even in the scenario meetings. I mean, if we did all of it, it'd be too long. But if we cut it, that'd be bad. We argued and argued. By the way, the author was on the side of cutting it. The reason it stayed in is thanks to Yokotani-san, the scriptwriter.
The one with the eyebrows is a man named Bordeaux Zellgef. When he was younger, he was even bigger and quite a bold character. For more on that, see Re:Zero EX2, Sword Demon Love Ballad.
Subaru-kun reaches the limit of what he can stand and finally jumps in. Honestly, it's impressive he could do it. I couldn't.
Ros-chi really looks villainous here.
Hearing Emilia's words just now gets Subaru-kun fired up.
When someone says, "O-hikae nasutte," I wonder how many people would understand that pose just now.
The Royal Guard is a position only those blessed with both skill and family standing can attain among knights. The ones here are especially elite even among them.
"Being weak is something to be ashamed of, not something to be proud of." Personally, I really like this line as the author.
Come to think of it, I forgot to mention this, but if you pay attention to Subaru-kun's expressions this time, I think all sorts of things will tighten up inside you in a good way.
Miklotov-san trying to cover for him is either compassionate, or it just hurts even more.
From here, there'll be some major changes.
The place Rom-jii came out from is a hidden passage beneath the royal castle. It's the sort of thing neither the royal family nor the castle's knights seem to know exists. As for why Rom-jii knows about a place like that... oh? Maybe that's in Re:Zero EX2, Sword Demon Love Ballad?
Isn't Felt's final "How's that?" unbelievably cool and cute?
Reinhard-san is absolutely delighted on the inside.
A-part over! I know people probably have all kinds of opinions, but hey, just watch the B-part!
Even when she shows up after a long while, Felt is always cute. And by the way, Ferris is always cute too. I wonder why that is, haha.
B-part start!
"And so, the royal selection begins at last." "Let's do our best, okay?" Whether they mean to or not, both of them are really twisting the knife.
At the training grounds, the mock battle begins.
The difference between how Subaru-kun, who did kendo, takes his stance and how Julius-san takes his.
The candidates catch on fast.
The girls are not kind.
Even the knights who were smirking at first get completely put off because Julius shows no mercy.
There it is, Shamak is here! This means we've got this!
The person on the left is the protagonist, right?
He got beaten to within an inch of his life, but Ferris, acting as his second, has already treated him. Even his broken teeth grew back.
If it's Subaru, then there must be some reason for it. by Emilia
I won't say anything from here on. That would be uncouth.
"The me inside Subaru thinks I'm amazing."
B-part over! Good work on episode 13!!
A brand-new ending commercial airing for the first time right after the main episode wrapped up so beautifully!!
Closing things out with that scummy face in the sponsor card.
Now then, it would not be an exaggeration to say that the content of these last five minutes was the part weighed most heavily in Re:Zero's cast auditions. Kobayashi-san as Subaru, and Takahashi-san as Emilia. I think now you all understand why those two were chosen. You get the shock I felt, right?
There are so many things I'd like to say and talk about, but I think doing anything in response to this post-viewing feeling would be gauche, so I won't say much. Chapter Three: the prologue is over, and the main story begins next time. I would be happy if you continue to watch and see what becomes of Natsuki Subaru's life in another world. Well then, see you again next week!
Ah, I forgot. Julius Juukulius, who one-sidedly beat Subaru-kun down, has a birthday on July 7, his birth flower is the "water lily," and its flower language is "a pure heart." Please love him.
By the way, Subaru-kun's birthday is April 1. His birth flower is "baby's breath," and its flower language is "a pure heart." Wahahahaha.
