Re:Zero episode 25 is about to start. It's the final episode. There are all kinds of things I want to say, but anything I say would be gauche. In any case, I fulfilled my dream of live-commentating my own anime every week. I imagine I was pretty noisy, sorry about that, but for now this is the last time you'll have to see it. Stay with my dream to the very end.

The final episode of Re:Zero is starting. So then, whether you're the TV Tokyo earliest-broadcast crowd in the royal seats, the people doing air-commentary even though they can't actually watch it, or the people viewing from the rooftops, please have a thick handkerchief ready in your hand.

The principle behind Petelgeuse's "Possession" is a forced spirit arts contract using the power of his own being as an evil spirit. Petelgeuse can only "possess" humans who have aptitude as spirit users, so spirit users who are already contracted are his natural enemy. That is the evil spirit Petelgeuse Romanée-Conti.

Last time, when Petelgeuse "possessed" him, the rampaging life force in Subaru's body caused by Ferris's magic also affected Petelgeuse, so Subaru judged that if he took damage while possessed, he could defeat Petelgeuse too, and he used the penalty for speaking about "Return by Death."

As for why they overlooked the trick in the dragon carriage: Subaru and the others believed that each "Finger," Petelgeuse's spare body, had a self-destruct spell on them. Subaru concluded that the carriage explosion in episode 23 happened because Ketty, the "Finger" at the scene, self-destructed, but in reality Ketty later... (to be continued)

Continued) fought Wilhelm, so it wasn't that he self-destructed. It actually made use of the incomplete detonation of the fire magic stones that had been planted as the trick this time. Because they overlooked that, Subaru and the others concluded that once they had the "Fingers" under control, there would be no explosion.

Incidentally, the one who noticed the "magic ore" trick was Otto, in a fine bit of work after being rescued from the Witch Cult, while checking the cargo manifests of the merchants he'd at least been given after missing his chance to make a profit by helping the villagers escape. Showing how capable he was here marked the beginning of the beginning of his suffering~♪

Otto's "Divine Protection of Soul of Language" is a Divine Protection that lets him converse with living creatures that have wills. When he uses it, he speaks in the target's language, so when he talks with a ground dragon, Otto uses dragon cries; when he talks with cats, cat language; and when he talks with bats, ultrasonic sound. With this power, they pulled off a major shortcut.

At this point, Subaru has already instructed the children. Worried that if the children didn't hold her back, Emilia might go back to fight herself, he entrusted Emilia to them. Petra alone understood that point perfectly, so it's "oh boy."

As I've mentioned before, dragon carriages are protected by the power of the ground dragon's "Divine Protection of Wind Evasion," which keeps them from being affected by things like wind resistance and the shaking of travel. That effect still applies even if someone climbs onto the carriage afterward, so Petelgeuse came under its influence the instant he latched onto the dragon carriage.

The effect of the "Divine Protection of Wind Evasion" extends a few meters around the dragon carriage. If even part of your body goes outside that range, you leave the protection's influence. When Petelgeuse reached for the Gospel Subaru threw, he moved outside the protection's influence and was hit by air resistance, lost his balance, and took Subaru's blow.

Here, Subaru is using the White Whale's remains to reduce the damage from the magic crystal explosion. The head was taken back to the royal capital by Crusch and the others, but the torso had been left behind frozen. He stuffed magic crystals into that remaining torso, then evacuated.

To everyone who stayed with the anime Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- all the way through episode 25, thank you. And to all the staff who saw it through to the end, thank you. To all the cast who breathed life into the characters, thank you. Thank you, truly, to everyone.

I have as many things I want to say, and as much gratitude I want to convey, as stars in the sky, but I can't quite put it all into words right now, so I'll wrap things up here for tonight. Maybe around this same time next week, I'd like to chat here and there about the Re:Zero anime again, so if you'd like, please join me.
