Good morning! (Wild claim) Lately I'd gotten into the habit of sleeping before it started, but since things are back to normal from today, it's easier not to sleep!

Now then, it's episode 11! This is the climax of the mansion arc, in other words Chapter 2! This time, the anime really digs into parts that were only touched on a tiny bit in both the Web version and the books, so even people who know the original should really enjoy it! Man, so that's how it happened!
As always, please enjoy this week's Re:Zero all the way through, including the sponsor cards.
Well then, let's have another good week!
A new life begins with a crying little sister and an older sister who won't cry.
Oh? The sponsor card...?
Now then, from an atmosphere that doesn't feel like a continuation of last time at all, let's start Part A!
This oni village is on the western border with Kararagi, so customs and clothing from that side have spread here.
Ram and Rem's father is Quark, their mother is Temae. The village chief is named Setanta.
So the steamed potatoes Ram is good at making were first made for her by Rem.
Rem: "Watch me!" Ram: "I was watching."
The pressure and anxiety young Rem always felt.
The older sister who had always understood her little sister's fears.
One night.
What a suspicious bunch. Who are they...?
Ram is strong, as expected of number 2 in the Re:Zero ranking settings!
Starting Maid Life from Zero
Jagged inside the mouth.
Past arc complete. For the rest of the detailed story, check the Re:Zero Blu-ray volume 5 bonus, continuing in "The Oni Sisters of the Hidden Village"!
Some people were worried last time, but Rem's horn isn't broken. The flow was that one hit to her horn snapped her back to her senses. (She passed out, so she got scooped up and carried off at a dash.)
Super slap (dead slang).
An evil look.
Her memory of the first date is gone too, isn't it. In this loop, the first date was a double date with the sisters.
This opening is worthy of final battle BGM...
It's worthy of final battle BGM, but this protagonist really doesn't get around to the final battle very often...
The Bocco fruit in the pile of junk the kids dove into last week turns out to be the trump card.
The true trump card (Roswaal).
Emilia: "You left me behind, but I'm not angry at all. Really, not at all, not one bit. Yup!"
Part A is over! Also, the battle is over!
Part B begins! Relax, it's the epilogue.
He really should've said, "It's a ceiling I'm used to seeing" here...!
On the nights when Rem had nightmares, Ram would always hold her hand.
Maybe there were nights like that after the second mansion loop, when Rem adorably blew Subaru away with her flail. Or maybe not. Who knows.
These flowers that look like hydrangeas have just the perfect colors. Maybe it's my imagination, but that weird-shaped vase in the middle is starting to look like Roswaal...
The bandage on the left leg was understated in the direction, but it's covered in doodles written by the children who came to visit. Things like "Get well soon!" and "We love you."
"Let's talk about the future with a smile. It was my dream to talk about next year with an oni while smiling." That's the line I wanted him to say in Arc 2.
Subtitle: "Rem"
Now then, time for some scheming.
The secret every night, and what it really is. After losing her horn, Ram's physical abilities dropped to the absolute limit, and to stay alive she endures by receiving mana from Roswaal-sama.
Epilogue of the epilogue.
"Is that really enough for you?" "That's exactly what I want." In that week repeated over and over, this was the first promise Subaru made, and the last one he could fulfill.
Arc 2, complete! Thank you very much!
So Frederica showed up as a surprise, but calling in Kaori Nazuka just for that single line, "Why are you trying so hard?"... I really don't even know what to say. I was seriously shocked too.
We closed out the sponsor card with Rem, and with that Arc 2 came to an end. Thank you!
This week started with Ram and Rem's past arc, and of course since the two of them are young here, Minase-san as Rem and Murakawa-san as Ram performed with younger-sounding voices. They both did a lovely, cute job with the younger voices, but Murakawa-san in particular is amazing. You can tell just by hearing Ram's voice, but I'm running out of characters...
Continuing from before. As for young Ram's voice, originally it was done in a way that leaned more childlike. But because I had this image that "Ram was already fully formed even as a child," Murakawa-san was given the unreasonable direction of something like, "Make it closer to Ram's grown-up voice, but still a child."
It's exquisite: unmistakably Ram's voice, yet young. Isn't that incredible? The past arc has quite a lot that only the anime depicts, so I want you to watch it again and again. And if you want more detail, I want you to read the Blu-ray bonus.
Now then, starting next week the story dives into Arc 3. As the original author, Arc 3 is one I put a lot of effort into, so Subaru-kun is going to go through even worse than in Arc 2. Look forward to it!
Well, he already goes through some pretty awful stuff in Arc 2, so what counts as "worse" depends on the person, and I can't flat-out say Arc 3 is worse. But I wrote it so that most people would probably feel he has it worse in Arc 3 than in Arc 2. Hang in there, everyone! It really is fun!
Arc 3 starts next week as the "Return to the Royal Capital Arc," with the setting returning to the royal capital. The cast more than doubles from the mansion arc all at once! And the star-studded voice cast playing the new characters has already been announced here and there! Check the official website for details! But this is the most important arc!
Well then, thanks again for this week! Starting next week, we'll be turning over a new leaf, so please keep watching! G'night!
