Emilia's personality is such that she won't just say, "If Subaru will do it for me, can I ask you to?" You could call it putting the right person in the right place, and that sounds nice, but when she starts thinking, "Then where is my proper place?" it's not so easy for her to hand her role over.

"That fickle one" really can be called Subaru's natural enemy in an unexpected way. Right now, she's someone who starts saying things differently from last time, which means she neutralizes Subaru's weapon of "fixed information about the future."

"I had no choice but to throw Ram far away and use her as a decoy" is actually a pretty sound strategy. Garfiel says, "Like I'd fall for that," but he'd probably fall for it. But after that, both Ram and Garfiel would become your enemies, so it's better not to do it.

Last time, Subaru was so afraid Ram might have forgotten that he couldn't even say Rem's name, but this time he told Ram about her on the way back to the mansion. Thoughtful as she is, Ram didn't interrupt, and she surely took it seriously.

On the way there, Ram was told about Rem, and while she properly understood that the girl with a face so much like her own was her little sister, she stayed behind in the room in order to grasp that reality for herself. Trying to fully know all of what she felt would be tactless, even for the author.

Ram hears about Rem's existence from Subaru, but even if she can rationally judge that Rem was "someone important," she can't think of her as "the most important other half in the world" the way the Ram who remembered her did. This is where the discrepancy between those with memories and those without them is born.

Subaru is battered by the shock, his consciousness fading. The sequence is: he's caught up in the collapse -> Ram finds him -> entrusts him to Patrasche -> while Patrasche is carrying him away, a mabeast catches up, so Patrasche throws him into the mansion to let him escape -> then Petra, just an arm.

Frederica, Petra, and even Patrasche are taken down, and Subaru understands that he himself is about to die. At the very least, he tries not to let Rem die before he does... but just when he thinks he's burst into Rem's room, that room is actually... that.

Taking what happened last time into account, Subaru tried returning to the mansion one move earlier, only for the other side to act one move earlier too. So then, what will Subaru and Beatrice do...!? And that's it for this week! See you next week! Thanks as always!
